Pastor Mark Neumann
Pastor Mark Neumann was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and is a product of Lutheran education since Kindergarten. After graduating from Lutheran High School East he studied Music, Psychology and Sociology at Concordia College in Ann Arbor, Michigan, received his M.Div. from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1991. He earned a Masters in Family Life Education at Concordia University Seward, Nebraska.
Mark was further trained in the Pastoral Leadership Institute “PLI” and the National Association of Lutheran Interim Pastors “NALIP”. He has served congregations large and small in Minnesota, Texas, Wisconsin and Iowa.
Pastor Neumann has been a Pastoral Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist Intern at the Minnesota Renewal Center which cares for pastors, missionaries, and their families from all parts of the world and dozens of Christian denominations. He is a Certified Transition Pastor and founded Transition Renewal, to help congregations who are seeking a new pastor. He is energetic and enthusiastic about creating momentum for new seasons of ministry.
Mark is the father of seven adult children (left to right) Lydia is a Nurse married to a Worship Minister in Ankeny, IA. Lydia and Kyle have two Children Julia and Eric. Hannah lives in Manila, the Philippines and runs a company promoting fair trade and betterment of women. Elijah is a designer and artist who started his own business Called Neu Design. He works in steel, wood, and fiber. Elijah and His wife April have a son, Jobe and a daughter, Lana. Abram is the Executive Director of Lakota Hope which serves Lakota Sioux people in Pine Ridge, SD. The people honored him with the nick-name “Curly Sioux”. Noah enjoys leading worship in church and is studying to be a nurse. Isaac is piloting airplanes and plans a career in commercial aviation. Faith is attending a university on scholarships in academics and music. She plays the Cello.
Mark enjoys the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, golf, pickle ball and kayaking. He has an avid love for the arts, especially all kinds of music. Were it not for his calling into ministry, he would be Conductor of an orchestra (dreams).
With more than 30 years experience as a pastor, Mark has served in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LC-MS) and Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC).
